Aeris {Band Promo}

Aeris is a local band featuring five excellent musicians from around the Detroit area. We have photographed the lead vocalist, Justin Brandt, before including his senior portraits. He is an extremely talented performer not only musically but also theatrically. Justin is an experienced actor on stage and on screen. The band had approached us and asked for some group pictures for publicity purposes and we enthusiastically agreed. It was a chilly, early spring day when we went to downtown Detroit to capture some unique images of the band at the Dequinder Cut by the river walk. It was definitely a creative challenge to capture the band in a way that highlighted their own unique style and personality that has not been overplayed before. Nevertheless, we succeeded in showcasing the band while putting our own twist on the images. 

The Lenkowski's {Family}

Kevin and I have been long overdue for updated professional and family portraits and we knew we wanted fun, dramatic images that matched our personal photography style.

We met Jill over a year and a half ago a the Lansing MWEP (Michigan Wedding and Event Professionals) networking group and have gotten to know her better at other various networking events throughout the year.  We just love her drama, zest and love of all things beautiful she portrays in her photography.  She is talented in the use of natural light, but she also is a mean off-camera flash (OCF) operator!  We specifically wanted to use OCF for our portraits, so we were so glad that we could exchange professional services with Jill.

This past weekend was the first time we met Jill's husband and two girls, and we absolutely loved hanging out with them and getting to know them.  Not only was it fun working for and with each other, it was also great just hanging out, eating pizza and swapping stories.  Everything went so beautifully that we already have another date planned to hang out and enjoy breadsticks at Tomato Bros. in Howell.  We can't wait!

David Michael

Last night we had the opportunity to get some shots of David Michael as he opened for Lecrae in Saginaw, MI at Word of Faith International Ministries. It was great meeting people there that we would otherwise never have had the chance to cross paths with. It was a high-energy atmosphere and the spirit was contagious!

A few weeks ago I met David at Brightmoor Christian Church's 'About One' Insanity youth event. You have got to check out his life story! After I read David's testimony, it's absolutely incredible that this guy has accomplished all that he has, yet alone the fact that he is alive today! On FaceBook his story is on his info tab, I strongly encourage you to go read it now.

We can't wait to see where God takes this man in his musical endevors!
